SANDWICHES! LOVE them. I have been to Bella Trattoria (several times) and the more casual place (Osteria Bella) next door, this is the next attached storefront by the same owner (same kitchen I think). I have been wanting to try these sandwiches. The ain't cheap - But note they come with Chips - so don't buy a bag when you order at the counter. I have been specifically hankering the Porchetta sandwich - Roli Roti has the gold standard I think- but this is different - and what makes this one especially delicious, is the Italian cherry peppers inside (next time I am going to ask for extra peppers on the side.) The bread was very fluffy and light - kinda like a ciabatta bread, with lots of crunchy cornmeal on the outside. The pork itself is shaved thin and piled high with onions and cherry peppers. This is sorta the Italian version of a cheesesteak - but a "porksteak". I am going to go back and try the meatballl sub. AND, Osteria Bella next door (same owner) has a great looking happy hour ($5 bites and drinks) - I am going to go there soon!

Super cute venue with a cheerful and warm ambiance. Enjoyed a glass of wine with a friend and appreciated the friendly service - although a bit slow at times, they were very welcoming. Happy hour menu looked like it had some well priced gourmet options so I'm looking forward to returning to try them.

Salumeria di bella is part of the Bella Empire on Geary. It offers a few sandwiches and salads. We tried the porchetta sandwich with onion jam, hot cherry peppers, and a yellow mustard. The sandwich was loaded with meat on great bread. Delicious. We will be back to try more next time.

The il classico sandwich is a very good one. I always find mortadella to be the odd man out in most italian combo sandwiches. It's got a more subtle flavor that can really get lost when there's salami and other more highly cured meats in the mix. So if you're having mortadella, I think it should generally be the only meat in the sandwich. The basically do that here and it works super well.

Can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. Such good sandwiches. The porchetta sandwich is so delicious and one of our favorites. We have also brought some bone marrow from here previously, and I roasted them at home.

Got the Il Classico (mortadella, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, mustard fig jam, extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), red wine vinegar, cherry peppers). Really liked the mustard! Sandwich was overall good but I felt it would have been better if the bread was a bit harder. Glanced over to the fridge and saw some donuts balls filled with Nutella. Got 5 for $6. It was good! Lots of filling. I think it'd be better warm so we're going to save some for home. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area!
